Blocking Azure Virtual Desktop user sessions during large-scale session host deployments with automation

in this recent Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) automation project, it was discovered that deploying hybrid joined session hosts that are MDM enrolled into Intune can result in compliance delays, leading to poor user experiences with essential applications. The default AVD Agent Deployment allows user sessions immediately after deployment, causing issues during large-scale redeployments. To mitigate this, a workaround was developed using Terraform, which stops the Azure Virtual Desktop agent service during deployment, ensuring user sessions only start once the session hosts are compliant, thereby improving user experience.
